It's not a goodbye, it is a see you later!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

First, let me say that you should be very proud of your students for being accepted to Clemson! Clemson is a great school and it opens the doors to many great opportunities. However, I am sure some of you have some anxiety when it comes to your student leaving home. For some students, it is the first time actually being away from home for a long period of time. That was certainly the case for me and my family. But, here are some helpful links that can keep you a little less worried.

One link that I believe is super helpful for parents, is the Clemson safety link. Here, you can learn about what Clemson does to keep campus safe, but also the options your child has. For example, Tiger Transit is a great, free, safe resource. Your student can take Tiger Transit anytime after 6:00 PM if they do not feel comfortable walking alone.

Along with safety, I have included the links for Clemson dining and Clemson housing. For meals, Clemson has a ton of options. All of the dining halls serve gluten free and vegetarian options. Along with the basic healthy meals. The housing is also a great link to view before moving day. The housing website actually shows you the exact measurements of everything. That way, you can already have an idea of what furniture will fit and also what to bring and what not to bring.

Once you move your student in, I am sure you all are wondering when you will see them again. Well, Clemson offers a family weekend where students' families are all welcome to come to a football game. The family weekend is a great way to spend time with your students outside of academics. Plus, you get to watch some Tiger Football!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me. I will be happy to help you with anything! I cannot wait to meet you all and your students!

Go Tigers!
